Hunter Valley 24x7

Located 160 kilometers north of Sydney and home to about 0.7 million people is the gorgeous Hunter Valley. The valley is situated along the Hunter River and consists of many towns and villages. The Valley stretches from the Goulburn River and Wollemi National Park to the south right up to the Barrington Tops National Park to the North. It is famously divided into Lower Hunter and Upper Hunter. The Valley is most popular for its wineries and coal industries. Quality red and white wines are produced here with finest varieties of grapes. Most of the vineyards are situated in the Lower Hunter.

Divided into 5 main areas, Lower Hunter has around 50 wineries in the whole area. The major
concentration of vineyards and wineries is around Pokolbin, North-west of Cessnock. Some of the big names of wine industry, like Lindemans Wine, Tyrell’s Vineyards and Wyndham Estate, have their wineries in the area. The Upper Hunter boasts of vast horse breeding and racing facilities. It also has some vineyards to serve the wineries in the area.
